In creating the provisional translation, we cooperated with the ALE project members who participated in the 7th conference in their translation proposals.

The CONFINTEA VII follow-up meeting on October 1 will provide an overview of the Marrakech Framework for Action.

Over the next 12 years, the Marrakech Framework for Action, which will be the central policy document for social education and adult education, will be widely known to many people. Please try to hold a reading party.

At the d-lab (National Workshop on Development Education) held in August, ALE project members conducted an activity to read the action framework. We highlighted and shared what left an impression on us, and discussed "what we think is important when looking back on our practice and life, and what we can put into practice ." Here are some comments from the participants:

  • The difficult Marrakesh Framework for Action became familiar to me, and I became aware of the broader perspective of what should be inherited and what should be changed in society.
  • The content was difficult, but it was an opportunity to turn our attention to the major trends in the world.
  • It was great to hear the report of the International Conference on Adult Education and to have the time to deepen the issues together. I immediately shared the report with my members and had a discussion.
  • I am participating in a place where volunteers discuss and learn from each other about what they should do to be in a better society and what they can do. I don't have much connection with school education, but I decided to participate because I thought that the activities I'm doing now are a part of adult education, and I sympathized with the words that adults must change.
