CONFINTEA VII (7th International Conference on Adult Education) On the first day of this meeting, the " Fifth Global Report on Adult Education and Learning (commonly known as GRALE5) " was published. The report reports that while the number of adults (especially women) participating in education has increased compared to 2018, migrants, indigenous peoples, the elderly and persons with disabilities have been left behind. .. In addition, while awareness of the importance of lifelong learning is increasing, the challenge is that nearly half of the countries spend only 2% or less of their public education budget on lifelong learning. Another focus of the report is "Citizenship Education". Compared to the previous 4th report, 74% of countries say they have developed and implemented policies on “citizenship education”. 5th global report on adult learning and education: citizenship education: empowering adults for change https://uil.unesco.org/adult-education/global-report/5th-global-report -adult-learning-and-education-citizenship-education
