"The 5th Global Report on Adult Education and Learning (commonly known as GRALE5)" has been published.
On the first day of the CONFINTEA VII (7th International Conference on Adult Education), the 5th Global Report on Adult Education and Learning (commonly known as GRALE5) was published. Compared to 2018, more adults (particularly women) are participating in education, but migrants, indigenous peoples, the elderly and people with disabilities are being left behind, the report said. . Moreover, while awareness of the importance of lifelong learning is increasing, the challenge is that nearly half of the countries devote only 2% or less of their public education budgets to lifelong learning. Another focus of the report is 'citizenship education'. Compared to the previous Fourth Report, 74% of countries answered that they have formulated and implemented policies on "citizenship education." 5th global report on adult learning and education: citizenship education: empowering adults for change https://uil.unesco.org/adult-education/global-report/5th-global -report-adult-learning-and-education-citizenship-education
